Today I made a small mistake & cause a delay in the transaction for depositing USD into Moomoo.
Because of this small mistakes I may miss the boat to buy some cheap growth US Stock. (but if market continue crashing, then lucky me) Actually is already a missed out (since the past few days lowest market crash) due to some other delayed transaction of USD to my bank... It take the whole **** 4 days & I thought finally but then +1 more day due to this small mistake that I missed to notice
And me this the self-proclaimed IT savvy also can make this small mistake (omg, unbelievable)

My mistake = Ur Guide (Don't make the same mistake as me)

So, u choose "Bank Transfer"

*Make sure to copy ur "ID+Name" & paste into the 'Message' field (click "copy") in the next image.
Note: Transaction is only made during working hours (Till 5pm & maybe less than 1hr to be deposited, I think)
This is the small mistake I made because I thought is to copy the ID on the "comment" in DBS transfer & so it caused the delayed for so long & missed my chance for my 2nd deposit for USD for the day... (so not enough for me to do trading for today US open market)
The 'Message' field is not for u to type eg. "Huat ah", "Make me rich" or "Depsoit". (u will cause a delay in ur deposit)
Always read the steps, do not skipped them like me

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY A GUIDE TO IMFORM FUTU THAT U DEPOSITED UR USD SO THAT THEY CAN UPDATE THE SUM ON UR MOOMOO ACCOUNT FOR TRADING.

YOU STILL NEED TO DO THE BANK TRANSFERRED TO FUTU'S DBS ACCOUNT FROM UR POSB/DBS ACCOUNT TO DEPOSIT USD INTO MOOMOO ACCOUNT.
DO PUT UR MOOMOO ID ON THE BANK "COMMENT" WHEN TRANSFERRING, TOO.

If u are still unclear, u can contact FUTU through  their "OFFICIAL" hotline/email.
If urgent, don't use email like me, a mistake. Just call.
They are very efficient & helpful

Actually, these is all the "first" for me since DDA does not support USD deposit 🙄

I was thinking of leverage maybe... but "haha" 😄 "nah" because I know nothing about leverage.

I'm just pointing out my mistake here so ppl don't commit the same mistake as me

  • Riding Star : Why so weird? If you using SG deposit, it should be auto using SGD instead of USD. If using USD, it take days because convertion.

  • Riding Star Milk The CowOP: Next time use SG Bank with SGD. Less 1 min. Transaction done. Then change SGD to USD also less than 1 min. You can hold on SGD if you don't wish to change to USD.

  • KB Chong : just your id number will do. the name cannot change and will be the name as in the bank account

  • CaseyJunio : There is a exchange inside the tabs, use it for conversion to USD take only 5 minutes for your money to show up. Why are u taking so many steps 😅

  • Milk The CowOP Riding Star: I'm using bank multi-current account to deposit USD into Moomoo & I just realised DDA does not support USD... So need do the normal transfer which take 15min - 3days.
    Because of my small mistake made mentioned above, it take the whole day to complete 1 transaction (should take less than 1hr if u know the steps correctly)... & somemore that's only my testing transaction with small sum... Hence my 2nd large sum transaction got stuck half way due to working hour stop at 5pm, I think.
    Bank shown deducted but moomoo account show no records due to transaction not done within working hour... so, it's not recorded in moomoo account=tomorrow will then be recorded in moomoo account.
    Haizundefined, should have trusted myself for the large sum transaction (in the end the test shown setup correctly).
    At the start, I was thinking yar, no harm practicing precaution: Check if the Moomoo link bank account has setup properly by testing with a small sum transaction first.
    Thus is why "UNCERTAINTY" lead to "precaution" and then to "opportunity loss"undefined

  • Milk The CowOP Riding Star: Here is my transactions steps made through out:

    Broker <A> Account USD withdrawal > Deposited USD to Bank Multi-currency Account > Deposit USD to Moomoo Account (Broker<B>)

    All the transaction is in USD.

  • Riding Star Milk The CowOP: Not they won't support. SG don't want peoples do money laundering. So they make life difficult.
