pennypincher : looks like they are still throwing shorts at it
Mcsnacks H Tupack OP pennypincher : Nope. They turned all of them in to the MM so that they can start covering for 1.3 million shares. The MM is trying to get cheap shares tho because they get the extra money that they save the hedge fund.
Mcsnacks H Tupack OP pennypincher : It will now go up everyday until those shares are covered. The do it slow because people get anxious will sell more before it reaches its highest potential
Mcsnacks H Tupack OP pennypincher : That’s why the MM marked it at 1.64. If it gets there they will have to sell what they have bought so far today to drop it down or they will have to buy up shares as fast as possible. Whichever time the hedge has allowed will determine which one they do
Dons hobby Mcsnacks H Tupack OP : Sam another stupid question what is MM.
Thanks Don
Mcsnacks H Tupack OP Dons hobby : It’s the Market Manager who runs the Bid/Ask. Certain Walk Street companies control the bid/ask spreads and the liquidity. Each one has from 300-700 stock that they run. It’s a bit more complex than that but that’s the general idea.
Manhit Dons hobby : Market maker
Dons hobby Manhit : Thanks Manhit I appreciate it.

Mcsnacks H Tupack OP Mcsnacks H Tupack OP : This trading system has only been around since 2012. The MM used to be the one that handled the trades. You would call them in and then they would be put down and time stamped and handed off to them and they would make the trade happen. But now it’s so fast and computerized they just have people that put in large orders to be bid at a certain blocks. Stocks used to never trade like the volume they do now. Not even close. But they have to do high volume liquidity trading because since you can trade so fast investors could take advantage of the volume being exact shares traded.
