$Mapletree Log Tr (M44U.SG)$ usually,  at the start of interest uptrend, Reits will fall in anticipation of the hike. The is because  cost of borrowing will increase. Furthermore, if interest rate for fixed deposit say is going higher e.g 5%, people will not buy risky assets which will give same return. They will go for safe assets like fixed deposit. Hence, interest rate hike is no good for reits. But, once the interest rate has been officially increased, the performance of reits will depend on the individual reit itself. So, this current downtrend seems is not going to end till mar when US announces increase in interest rate.
