$ProQR Therapeutics(PRQR.US$ 12:32 ET - Evercore believes that after the biopharmaceutical company's most advanced drug candidate failed, ProQR Therapeutics's share price fell sharply, making the company the target of a reverse merger, citing a strong cash position. Evercore said that as the stock price fell 75% to $1.41, ProQR's market capitalization has plummeted to around $100 million, less than its cash of around $200 million. Amidst the downturn in the IPO market and recent difficulties for short check companies, Evercore said ProQR may consider mergers with decent private companies to create value for shareholders.
