How do you develop a trading philosophy?
Views 246K Contents 304

Take these important steps towards being a Wise Trading Philosopher

As defined, your personal beliefs and principles can be translated into your own risk appetites, survival tools and your trading outlook.
1) Risk Appetites:-
refers to the amount of risk and money you are willing to risk in the event of market downturns and losses. Are you a high, medium, low risk taker? Above all, you need to set aside (allocate) a sum of money for investment purpose so that it will not affect your financial heath/livelihood.
2) Survival Tools:-
Study your own trading patterns and behaviours in terms of how react to stock market changes and what are the approaches and strategies you would adopt to strengthen or prevent a significant fall in your financial position. Hence, it is necessary to establish clear and precise investment strategies by using assessment tools to evaluate own investing performance for not just the short-term but the longer-term of your own financial position.
3) Trading Outlook:-
When it comes to trading, it can be subjective rather than what we assume to be objective all the time. Therefore, it is really vital to understand our trading post outlook e.g. short-term gain/losses or long-term gain/losses or even optimistic or pessimistic of the future trading outlook to devise our own investing plans & strategies. Imagine you are only looking at making quick profits from the stock markets, then it will coupled with risks of quick losses and that you need to assess your sustainability portfolio. Because we must always bear in mind, as a short-term investors, you will need to see yourself in longer-term, unless you are quitting the stock market investment altogether.
I wish all can learn something from my posting today and benefit your own portfolio management. All the best of wisdom and luck!
