Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin calls Russia invasion a 'Crime'
On Wednesday, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, said in his mother tongue that Russia's invasion of Ukraine "is a crime against the Ukrainian and Russian people."
Wrote Buterin: "Very upset by Putin's decision to abandon the possibility of a peaceful solution to the dispute with Ukraine and go to war instead."

The younger Buterin has attempted diplomacy. He met with Putin in 2017 in an attempt to persuade him to use the Ethereum network in Russia. Putin has shown an interest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. He recently went against Russia's central bank by claiming that the country's energy resources provide it with "some competitive advantages" in Bitcoin mining.
