IWD 2022 Event: Women & Investing.

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on March 8. It is set aside to commemorate women's cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements. March is also designated Women's History Month to honor women's contributions to American history.

According to the UN Women, the theme for IWD 2022 is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow." In today's world, the role of women has undergone a sea of change compared with yesteryears, and the gender gap in investing is also starting to narrow.

Fidelity's 2021 Women and Investing Study show that 78% of women are now investing money beyond their retirement funds, a 44% increase since 2018.

What's more, the exchange-traded fund industry has a higher-than-average number of women in financial roles. One of the highest-profile investors is Cathie Wood, a star stock-picker and founder of the ARK Invest and on the list of Power Women 2021.

Why do we hold this event?
