When I bought high, I question the reason for holding on. If the long term trend is still intact, fundamentals did not change for the company, healthy profit, management did not sell excessively, I will continue to hold the stock for the long term. If the trend turns negative or bearish then I will cut loss if it falls below 20% for 3-4days. This indicates that short sellers are around and volatility abounds. Always question the time horizon and reasons for holding the stock.
