Kibs : Doesn’t matter if everyone uses it if the other to profitability is unclear.
They are providing services that are highly competitive and easily replicated:
Transport - Gojek
Food - Deliveroo and foodpanda
Finance - crypto.com, Revolut, and traditional banks
Grocery - Amazon fresh, pandamart, redmart
Courier - qxpress, SingPost, lalamove
Their strategy is to loss lead till competition is pushed out and to have a super app that is convenient. But consumers in these sectors are looking for the best deals and are willing to forgo convenience.
Competition are also able to focus resources in one sector while grab has to split its resources amongst so many areas.
Unfortunately, I don’t see grab having a sustainable business model or moat.
