Market manipulation

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ $SoFi Technologies(SOFI.US)$ $Palantir(PLTR.US)$ $Apple(AAPL.US)$ $NIO Inc(NIO.US)$ $AMC Entertainment(AMC.US)$

you notice a sell off after every earnings and after every single green day. Market makers know that by spreading negative analysis and making the stock prices yo-yo up and down will cause panic sell offs by the retail investors.
market makers understand that retail has this concept of “acceptable losses” where they rather lose alittle and cash out at a loss than to hold and risk that their share prices dip even more.
what shd you do as a retail investor:
1. always know what u are investing in
2. always DCA and nvr put in more money than you can afford to lose.
3. always remember that there are 2 sides of a coin. no company out there is perfect and there will always be pros and cons of investing in EVERYTHING. market makers amplify the weakness of the companies whose stocks they wanna “crash” and keep quiet about the good stuff.
4. if you are not a day trader, just invest at your perceived fair value and don’t keep checking the stock price.
5. only sell off when fundamentals change for the worse

  • bwjx : I think learning a bit of technical analysis, and diversifying into other less volatile assets e.g.  bonds, short term saving plans also help retail investors, especially in times of volatility.

  • 102292805 : Great, how do you define fundamentals?

  • KnockoutTrader OP 102292805 : How I define fundamentals:

    1. Whether or not the businesses of the said company makes sense, sustainable in the long run and room for consistent growth

    2. Goals of the management and how competent is the management team and most importantly the CEO

    3. Future plans for expansion, r&d and projections of the company.

    4. Market sentiments towards the company.

    5. financial health of the company.

  • KnockoutTrader OP bwjx : U have a good point too. Technicals are
Impt. But those are for people who does more day trades and contra etc. long term investors shd look more at fundamentals as they are not looking for short term gains. So I guess it depends on what kind of profile are you 😂😂😂

  • 我只想赚个买菜钱 : Monday premarket dropped 2% - 3%...... How worse of this share.....

  • Pochong 我只想赚个买菜钱 : It will drop more. Interest rate hike is no joke bro. And now coupled with an European war. Most stock price will be slashed by the end of all these. Stocks will be like the aftermath of Stalingrad / Berlin. Very grim and gloom.

  • Howardy : green by open. Futes will be up 200 by 7 am.

  • Expendabiggles : I just wish these institutions didn’t have the power to control the software and cover up their crimes do easy.  Its a fuk’n shame these greedy bastards have so much control over everything.  And passing that control over to our greedy A$$ govt is no different.  So we’re kind of screwed.  I think when the market colapses this next time, us reg people we should abandon it and start our own thing that you can’t get into if your a whale of any kind cuz thats the sh*t that allows manipulation. But I KNOW that will never happen because people are stupid and they never learn.  Its like being hit by a train where each section just keeps running us over and running us over.  I’m ashamed of the stupidity of humanity.

  • 102292805 KnockoutTrader OP : Excellent, Love to hear your recommendations on dividend stocks

  • KnockoutTrader OP 102292805 : In my view, There are some good tickers to look at for dividend stocks as the war caused a sell off in majority of the value stocks worldwide. However if you are a NRA ( non resident alien ) investing in the US markets u might be subjected to a tax up to 30% on your dividend income. So it depends on your current situation and/or residency etc too
