#IWD 2022 Event: Women & Investing
#2022WomenInvestors is an impactful event as Women continue to rise in what is called a “man’s world”. Women continue to shine and rise above in multiple industries; allowing for women to be independent investors. Feminism is definitely present in todays world and us Women shall continue to grow and support one another.
Observations of being young girl, I saw and quickly realized that I was surrounded by strong women who instilled the Courage & Wisdom to always stand up for what you believe & never depend on someone (male) to care for you forever. My wise Cardinal use to tell me, “It’s okay to to be dependent, however, always have your independence”. It’s okay to be the “damsel in distress”, however always have your own independence you’re able to call back on if push comes to shove. Therefore, you’re able to care for your family, needs, and wants. When I had my daughter, immediately, I knew what she was talking about and the importance of having ”independence”.
Being a female investor, and discussing with male counterparts, I believe often times we are looked down upon as males feel they are to bring in the flow of income. Often times, in this era, some males seem to feel de-masculinized (might have made up my own word) in which women investors or women with educations are often given the shoulder because we are too much woman for them. I’ve come across my peers that believe women don’t know what todo with money😂🤧. But, once conversation and debates are conducted they diminish they’re words and start to listen to what you (The Woman) has to say and suddenly are open to your ideas presented.
