THE WEEK AHEAD ENDING MARCH 18

The indices and their ETFs $SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average Trust (DIA.US)$ $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ are going down...how far? - Far lets say 5% is being generous. I also predicted metals, miners, oil and energy would run to the upside - they did, but will it continue...
Now things look different. I thought there was a 33% chance metals would drop this week, now I think theres a 66%+ chance they drop.
Everything opened lower friday, but metals oil and energy were recovering with relative strength when about an hour before close everything started selling off. The bigs like $Apple (AAPL.US)$ $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ and $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ broke resistance and started falling hard.
It's my belief that those drops created margin selloffs taking the profitable stocks down to cover losses. The bigs (FAANG) will drop hard this week. And this may continue to drag down the metals. $iShares Silver Trust (SLV.US)$ $SPDR Gold ETF (GLD.US)$ along with the miners all started to show a bearish divergence.
Oil is in a bearish state but that may turn anytime. $VanEck Oil Services ETF (OIH.US)$ looks more like it's taking a breather for another run.
Current world events change rapidly and another run on Oil or Gold may happen, but the indices will continue to drop.
Protect yourself, hedge your assets. If you dont know how or can't use options there are inverse ETFs. These work opposite the indices, so they go up when indices go down. Some are leveraged so aim to earn 2-3 times the loss. (do not hold these long, profit off them and when the market turns up again sell them)
