Hedges just fighting not to lose
$AMC Entertainment(AMC.US$ Wonder what the profits of hedge funds will look like after another year of keeping most of the stock market in a holding pattern trading sideways so they don’t lose money. Because when you do that you don’t MAKE much money either.

DAR88 : Trading sideways presents a good opportunity in options by trading in the supply and demand zones (this includes covered calls) and to top it off market makers are keeping all the premium of the dumb dumbs who are buying calls at $95 strikes for this week. I get what you mean but the thing is that this is their strategy, keep it trading sideways and slowly keep it going down so they can make premium on everything they are long on.
Expendabiggles OP DAR88 : True enough but lower lows will hit bottom at some point. Then theres no where else to go. So they hold it there and profit very little or let it run.
DAR88 : And that’s why we hold AMC and trade other stocks
