AU Morning Wrap: US stocks snap win streak; ASX opens higher

Treasury yields rose following his comments, with the 10-year yield jumping to 2.315%, its highest level since May 2019. The $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ declines 0.6% to 34552, the $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ 500 falls slightly to 4461 and the $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ slips 0.4% to 13838.

AU Market Watch
Australia’s $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ looks poised to resume its upward trajectory at the open despite US stocks edging lower amid rising Treasury yields. ASX futures are up by 1.1%, suggesting the benchmark will bounce back from Monday's 0.2% slip.

Australia shares opened higher this morning. The $S&P/ASX 200 (.XJO.AU)$ gained 0.96 per cent to 7348 as of 10:17 pm.
