Rising gas prices driving people to mass transit
The surging average price of gas in the U.S. is likely driving Americans toward mass transit and alternative means of transportation.
One of the best ways to see the immediate result of high gas prices is to take a ride on public transit.
As daily life resumes after two years of stagnation brought on by the coronavirus pandemic and states have now rescinded universal indoor mask mandates, businesses are trying to persuade workers to return to the office.
This means an end to empty lanes on the nation’s highways as commuters are being pried from their work-from-home environs, not to mention their uber-casual work attire.
Higher prices at the pump can mean money-conscious consumers will drive less. Drivers are facing a one-two punch as higher gas prices come with an increasingly clogged commute.
Some believe gas prices going through the roof could lead to a change in the nation’s commuting habits. $Camber Energy (CEI.US)$ $Imperial Petroleum (IMPP.US)$ $Occidental Petroleum (OXY.US)$ $Houston American Energy (HUSA.US)$ $W&T Offshore (WTI.US)$ $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ $Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI.US)$ $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$

UNC Johnnie : because they dimbarses made it go up
JR87 : im sure some will, but most done have a choice. a repair man cant take his entire service vehicle onto the bus and run service calls at the will of a bus route. very few will have the luxury of ditching the cost of fuel.
efficentupup OP UNC Johnnie :
efficentupup OP JR87 : yeah.
Funjy : Gas Is Still Way Cheaper Then During Bush In 2008 When Gas Cost $4.75 a Gallon & I Only Was Making $7.25. Now It's $4.25 a Gallon But I Make $22 a Hour. Big Fucking Difference cause in 2008 I Had to Work a hour to buy One & a half Gallon of Gas Now I Work a Hour & I can buy More then 4 Gallons of Gas. Plus in 2008 I had a Supra & was Getting Around 17 miles a Gallon Now I Drive a Mazda Cx5 & Get 27 miles a Gallon. Hearing The News & Dipshits Say Highest Gas Prices Ever just Make Me Wonder Where in the Fuck Were These People In 2008 & Did They Really Make The Same As They Do Now???
Snowflake1717 : as a single mother I cant change my transportation. I take my kids to school daily cuz we live out of the district for school.
