Risk Management Strategies & Techniques
This is such an important aspect of trading/investing!! Yet as a beginner, I just realised (painfully) that I am sooo bad at this.. So decided to hopefully start a thread on this topic to invite/call upon anyone and everyone who is willing to share your experience, knowledge, strategies and skills, even personal rules that you have set for yourself along the way in this journey of investing & trading.. so that hopefully more of us newbies to the stock market can pick up and learn more about this topic and really start to put some of these techniques in place so that we can perhaps hopefully prevent ourselves from getting toooo badly burnt due to our inexperience, ignorance or carelessness or lack of discipline or watever..

NewMe OP Day Trader 881 : That. yes.. Just 20 tsla shorts alone lost more than usd5k. Lesson learnt. No more shorting for me. Esp this crazy TSLA, ever again.
But really is my lack of risk management.. I totally didnt know what to do when it didnt drop as tot it would be..and then 11 days straight up exponentially!? Insane.
Kenna margin call n all. I m so noob!

In this stock market , you can lose 10k in a day, you also can win 10k in a day.
Just remember don’t revenge trade,
like want to recover your losses in a short time frame.
spread it out.. easier to manage ..

NewMe OP Day Trader 881 : Yes.. school fees.. Thanks.. Soooo much to learn... Hopefully slowly but surely can recover bit by bit all the losses..dunno how long it's gonna take..ha! But ya..for now, gonna take a little break 1st after the rest of my appl puts expire prob..

Elliot wave , and wyckoff method. It help alot.
Fibonacci as well.
Last but not least, learn about trading psychology and emotions…

Always remember it is only 50:50 chance of it being right..So put money in pocket when there is profit. Cut quickly when things don't look right. Never wait to be proven wrong! Thank u, sis.....
