$Coles Group Ltd (COL.AU)$ is a strong dividend payer. Also, today is when shareholders will receive Coles' latest dividend payment.
During its last earnings report that Coles group delivered in February this year, Coles announced its results for the six months ending 31 December. Meanwhile, Coles reported a 1% increase in revenues, but higher costs dropped its earnings and profits by 4.4% and 2%. However, the company also announced its interim dividend for the 2022 financial year, worth 33 cents per share.
While today's dividend is on par with last year's interim payment, it does represent an increase over Coles' previous full dividend (28 cents per share).
