The latest interim dividend! Do you hold this stock?

As a blue-chip ASX stock with a proven business model, Coles $Coles Group Ltd (COL.AU)$ is a strong dividend payer. Also, today is when shareholders will receive Coles' latest dividend payment.

During its last earnings report that Coles group delivered in February this year, Coles announced its results for the six months ending 31 December. Meanwhile, Coles reported a 1% increase in revenues, but higher costs dropped its earnings and profits by 4.4% and 2%. However, the company also announced its interim dividend for the 2022 financial year, worth 33 cents per share.

While today's dividend is on par with last year's interim payment, it does represent an increase over Coles' previous full dividend (28 cents per share).

The last final dividend of BHP $BHP Group Ltd (BHP.AU)$ was a monster payment of $2.7153 per share, fully franked and paid out in September last year.
Rio Tinto Limited $Rio Tinto Ltd (RIO.AU)$ shareholders have received A$5.77 per share for the final dividend and $0.858 per share for the special dividend on 22 February 2022.
