If you are a long term holder, these price actions make no difference, especially if you are not buying on margin.
Trying to time the market, is impossible.
In hindsight, when I sold my $TSLA.US$ shares at $790 because I thought the last Fed meeting would cause Tesla stock to head to low $650 but instead it went to $1150. I lost out on additional $10-15k profit due to the Suprise split stock announcement. IF it wasn't for this announcement, I think $TSLA.US$ can very well be headed back to $600 but......
Market is irrational compare to previous historic events because the buying habits has changed drastically and the company may always announce Suprise positive news for example "EU car company, adopting NIO battery swap", this would be a huge announcement in regards to revenue generating for $NIO.US$ $NIO-SW.HK$ ...
I plan on holding my $NIO.US$ $NIO-SW.HK$ shares only because as mentioned before the fundamentals and company strategy encourages me to see higher returns in the future.
Of course, I mentioned previously I wanted to use margin to buy 1000 NIO shares but luck would have it, I only bought 500 shares at $22 to $23. So the loss isn't that great.

2ndBreakfast : I cashed out half my $Tesla(TSLA.US)$ holdings and bought $Coca-Cola(KO.US)$ , $Amazon(AMZN.US)$ $Alphabet-A(GOOGL.US)$ $Lucid(LCID.US)$ and $NIO Inc(NIO.US)$ @ $1150.
