What's your view on choosing stock trading as a full-time career?
Views 80K Contents 103

Risk control is a top priority.

To become a full-time trader, one must first understand risk management.
Most people think that full-time traders must take on a lot of risk, when in fact, it is quite the opposite. Full-time traders focus the most on risk management, strictly and disciplined.
You need to have a complete trading system, using the relationship between risk-profit ratio and probability to achieve consistent profits. You must have strict discipline, execute with a good mindset, be passionate, and relentlessly study charts daily and review trades. Discipline > mindset > passionate > commitment > post trade analysis. These are all necessary requirements to become a full-time trader.
Every professional career must go through long years of learning and practice, and stock traders are no exception, traders are even more professional. Most people hold the idea of trading stocks today and achieving financial freedom tomorrow, but lack enthusiasm for learning about stock trading and ultimately cannot persevere.
Finally, I would like to share a quote from my mentor to friends who want to learn trading: 'Serious Trading is like rock climbing. The idea is to get to the top, but the main goal is not to fall to your death.'
