Earning BEATS/MISSES WON'T MATTER!

It's the first week of earning season with large financial institutions reporting this week. However, first-quarter earnings WON'T MATTER!!!!

First, who's reporting this week?

Why earnings WON’T matter?
There are two main reasons bank earnings won’t matter this quarter.

CPI data: On April 12th the CPI data will be released. Inflation has been at historical levels and is expected to reach 8.4% over the last twelve months. That 8.4% appears to be priced into the current market prices. Any deviation from expectations will move the market in either direction.

Guidance: Assuming the CPI data meets expectations, what many will be turning to next as a catalyst is bank guidance. Some of the bigger banks are in a prime position for high profitability during a rate hike cycle. However, what could be cause for concern is banks issuing warnings of higher than expected credit losses.

Ben 23 : Yesterday trading shows that dumping is not over yet. Even if earnings are good it doesn't mean that it will go up if guidance is bad. I will just look at my tech indicators to see where it is going.
