Do you have a daily trading routine?
Views 28K Contents 61

What is a normal day in the life of a stock trader?

Your day begins early, making sure you have your homework done and are ready for the day ahead.

The opening is busy with no time for anything other than focusing on your game plan.

Around 11:30 AM the market slows and remains so until about 2:30 PM

By 2:30 PM a stock trader has seen market action in the morning and knows what risk they’re carrying.

From 2:30 pm to 4 pm the mark is busy and once again, a trader’s focus returns to their game plan - and whatever risk they've taken on earlier in the day.

At 4 pm the market closes (in the US). Short term traders make sure their trades are matched and cleared and take time reviewing their risk reports.

Afterward, they head to:

the gym

the meditation room

the park

their children

the bar

Whatever floats their boat. I head to the meditation room (shrug).

I hope this information is useful to you and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
