Did Powell Just Hint Towards a Volker Era?
2 hours before Powells live speech he released a pre recorded video paying homage to former fed char Paul Volker. Paul volker ran the fed during times of very high inflation and he increased the federal funds rate greatly just as is happening currently. this lead to a massive recession with terrible market conditions. Was he foreshadowing of things to come. or is he pulling an okey-dokey and pump faking the whole market??? What’s gonna happen folks??

solo invest : Well he said he would raise rates aggressively and inflation is high as hell. The market really didn’t like this… but nice jesters for mr. Volker
SpyderCall OP solo invest : Right. He also took the US dollar off of the gold standard to strengthen the dollar. Our dollar is hella strong right now so I can’t figure how to factor that in this crazy theory. But he did mention it was possible for a soft landing in the past so it can’t be too bad. And yes the market didn’t even like seeing his ass
