37 Chinese companies on SEC delisting list
SEC has been identifying more companies under the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act (HFCAA). Majority are Chinese companies and their delisting from the US stock exchanges gets closer as each day passes.
37 of them have been identified thus far (I have excluded a handful of non-China companies) and out of which, 26 were given time to submit evidence for dispute.
Here's the list:
1) BeiGene (BGNE) $BeiGene (BGNE.US)$ is a biotech company that is listed in Hong Kong too (6160).
2) Yum China (YUMC) $Yum China (YUMC.US)$ operates KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, COFFii & JOY, Huang Ji Huang, East Dawning, and Little Sheep in China.
3) Zai Lab (ZLAB) is a biotech company that is listed in Hong Kong too (9688).
4) ACM Research (ACMR) manufactures semiconductor equipment.
5) HUTCHMED (HCM) is a biotech company that is listed in Hong Kong too (13).
6) Weibo (WB) is a popular microblogging site, akin to Twitter, operating in China. It listed in Hong Kong at the end of 2021 (9898).
7) Futu (FUTU) $Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$ is a discount broker and the moomoo brand is more well known in Singapore.
8) Nocera (NCRA) supplies equipment needed to build and operate land-based fish farms.
9) iQIYI (IQ) is the Netflix equivalent in China.
10) Baidu (BIDU) $Baidu (BIDU.US)$ is the Google equivalent in China. It is listed in Hong Kong too (9888)
11) CASI Pharmaceuticals (CASI) is a biotech company.
12) Microvast (MVST) manufactures lithium-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage systems.
13) China Automotive Systems (CAAS) manufactures power steering components and systems for automobiles.
14) Daqo New Energy (DQ) manufactures monocrystalline silicon and polysilicon that are needed to make solar panels.
15) Connect Biopharma (CNTB) is a biotech company.
16) OneConnect (OCFT) sells technology platforms to financial institutions.
17) Green Vision Biotechnology (GVBT) makes bio-fertilizers.
18) Legend Biotech (LEGN) is a biotech company.
19) Sohu.com (SOHU) is search engine (sogou) in China.
20) Studio City International (MSC) operates an integrated resort in Macau.
21) Melco Resorts & Entertainment (MLCO) operates integrated resorts in Asia.
22) Noah (NOAH) offers wealth management services in China.
23) Zhihu (ZH) $Zhihu (ZH.US)$ is the Quora equivalent in China and recently listed in Hong Kong (2390).
24) BeyondSpring (BYSI) is a biotech company.
25) Luckin Coffee (LKNCY) is the Starbucks equivalent in China.
26) Aurora Mobile (JG) is a mobile big data solutions platform in China.
27) Scientific Energy (SCGY) is an e-commerce platform in China.
28) China Foods (CFOO) manufactures food and beverages products.
29) Value Exchange (VEII) provides IT solutions for the retail industry in Asia.
30) JRSIS Health Care (JRSS) operates a private hospital in China.
31) Entrepreneur Universe Bright (EUBG) mines rare earths, primarily tantalum.
32) CBAK Energy Technology (CBAT) manufacture lithium-ion batteries.
33) ZW Data Action Technologies (CNET) provides digital marketing services.
34) AMTD IDEA (AMTD) is a financial institution offering investment banking, asset management and venture investing services. It is also listed in Singapore (HKB).
35) BEST (BEST) is a supply chain and logistics provider.
36) Li Auto (LI) $Li Auto (LI.US)$ is an EV maker and is listed in Hong Kong too (2015)
37) KE Holdings (BEKE) $KE Holdings (BEKE.US)$ is an online and offline platform for housing transactions in China.
We haven't seen an actual delisting happening yet. Those that have listings in Hong Kong is less of a concern if the shares are fungible - US ADRs can be converted to HK-listed shares.
China has been trying to engage the US authorities on this matter and the last development was that China is willing to allow the companies to show their books to the Americans. But I am not hopeful as the US doesn't appear to be interested in that anymore and looks bent on delisting.
It is thus better to avoid these ADRs.

Bull Run : Latest news today saw on TV China side still go thro with US on this issue on another meeting in the positive progress.
Pochong Always Hungryy : It doesnt matter. Don't trouble yourselves over the geopolitical when you are investing / trading. Trade / invest the companies stocks on respective home countries stock exchange.
