Inflation components and how it affects the common folks
inflations is made up of a baskets of items. in Singapore, some of the big items are transport, energy, housing/property and food.
these are influenced by many external and internal factors and the main issues/woes are supply chain congestions or lack ofs, war in Europe, property and vehicle increases in prices.![]()

1. supply chain congestions: movements of raw materials and products are restricted, including energy
2. war in Europe: certain raw materials/commodities are not produced and exported, and energy supply are decreased
3. property and vehicle prices: buyers are either trying to avoid increases in gst and/or stamp duties and/or interest rates
