More than six million Australians will begin receiving one-off payments of A$250 within days as part of a government plan to ease the cost of living. The first payments are set to hit bank accounts today!

Who is eligible?
The one-off cash handout will be paid to pensioners, welfare recipients, veterans, some self-funded retirees and concession card holders. If you receive any of the following payments, you will be eligible for the handout.
Age Pension
Austudy and Abstudy Living Allowance
Carer Allowance
Carer Payment
Commonwealth Seniors Health cardholders
Disability Support Pension
Double Orphan Pension
Farm Household Allowance
Jobseeker Payment
Parenting Payment
Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) holders
Special Benefit
Veterans' Affairs payment recipients and Veteran Gold cardholders
Youth Allowance

While not receiving the $250 payment, more than 10 million working Australians are also set to benefit from the federal government's cost-of-living package later this year.

If you are eligible for the bonus, you do not need to apply, and the money will be issued automatically into your bank accounts.

Have you got your payments yet? How will you choose to spend your money? I will probably full my fuel tank and buy a week of groceries.
