Intel to overtake TSMC by the end of 2024 thanks to Intel 18A lithography
$Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US$ $Intel(INTC.US$ $Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3x Shares ETF(SOXL.US$ TSMC's leadership in cutting-edge manufacturing processes has expired and Intel is expected to take over from TSMC by the end of 2024.
Basically, TSMC is expected to start its 2nm lithography pilot process in 2024 and hope to start mass production in the second half of 2025, or by the end of 2025.
Intel, on the other hand, is expected to start mass production of its Intel 20A (2nm) lithography in the first half of 2024, while Intel 18 (1.8nm) is expected to be available in the second half of the year, because that mass production of their most advanced manufacturing process announced so far was originally scheduled for 2025 but everything is going well .
$Qualcomm(QCOM.US$ will be one of Intel's main customers using its Intel 20A lithography technology, while official sources from leading graphics chip makers have revealed that Nvidia is interested in making Intel its future chip production partner.
