Dirtman : You know that to short, there is an interest rate? They can't hold forever as it cost millions of dollars just to hold a short position with this amount of short shares. 2ndly, there is more than shorting. 90% owns the float, so where does the 20+% SI comes from?

-shorting meaning sell what you dont have
-meaning you will pocket profits first
-buy back lower cost and you make the difference

Short in the other hand is profit in hand, but they need to be smart enough to hold the deposit if not they will lose a lot more?
Dirtman TaMA_ChaN : Shorting basically is the opposite of Long but comes with conditions. In short, you are borrowing shares and you start paying interest when not returned by end of the day for as long as you hold them. Basically like borrowing money from the bank. As long as you don't return, they keep charging you interest

ThinkingCap TaMA_ChaN : If you short 1000 shares, means you borrowed 1000 shares (sold 1000 shares at x-pricing) and will need to buy back 1000 shares (at preferably a pricing lower than x-pricing) to repay back your broker at the end of the day.
