Grab plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

$Grab Holdings(GRAB.US)$ Grab announced this new goal in its annual Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report. Grab has also set two other goals of doubling the number of marginalized people earning income on the platform by 2025 and reaching a 40 percent female leadership ratio by 2030.

Grab pointed out that the company has launched several green initiatives in the past year to reduce its carbon footprint. For example, since the company launched its JustGrab Green service in July last year, more than 150,000 green deliveries have been made. In addition, nearly 30,000 Grab passengers have opted for the pro-environmental auto switch feature, giving preference to greener vehicles such as electric or hybrid vehicles.

The company is also actively involved in green campaigns to support solar energy and protect the environment. Currently, Grab has raised $500,000 from passenger donations and a dollar-for-dollar grant program. The company will use the funds to support the installation of solar panels on rooftops in local communities in partnership with Sembcorp Industries.
