Strong quarterly profit in 2021, continuing into 1Q2022 with a 42% jump yoy. Revenue was USD150m boosted by a 60% jump in ASPs. Balance sheet is stronger than ever with a high pile of cash and minimal debt of USD205m and USD4m respectively in 1Q2022.
It's a big payer of dividends with 0.09 payout for 2021. The 1Q2022 dividend of 0.02 is 51% of net earnings for the period and is 4x higher yoy, which is disproportionately higher given that net profit rose 4.2% yoy.
1Q2022 would have turned out substantially higher if not for a temporary coal export ban imposed by the Indonesian government in Jan 2022. By fulfilling a higher DMO volume in Jan and Feb, it would be able to capture the recent upsurge in export coal prices by increasing its exports in the coming months.
The profit outlook continues to be positive given an under-investment globally in coal exploration and production. Coal demand from China and India has stayed high and is expected to remain so while supply continues to be constrained and disrupted.
The ICI4 futures currently hovers at USD95/ tonne for each of the remaining months of the year.

HayashiYu : like i commented previously, there is no reason for the CEO not to give out divided and , since the revenue of the company is heavily affected by the coal price, there is no reason for the company to do badly. Great job for keeping the shares, should hold longer at least until the end of this year. there should have 1 or 2 more dividen payout this year i think, since coal price will be higher towards winter usually and when China want to live with codvid there will be mass demond coming in when that happens we can see another surge of coal price.
