cheezyans bananarama : That is true. However, the older age group do not spend 2 to 4 hours on social media daily, nor do they generate any interesting content on the platforms. Thus, a platform with only old people would be a slow sinking ship. Facebook’s Metaverse isn’t anything new either. It is the same concept as VRChat or any social areas within MMORPGs. Furthermore, how many people would even be willing to drop $400+ on a VR headset to lounge around a lobby with old people?
DonkeyGenius : Facebook owns instagram that is largely used by millennials. Facebook and Instagram have been constantly upgrading their app through integrating shops, reels and the list goes on. They are currently into metaverse too which will likely be profitable in the coming 5 years.
