NVIDIA Q1 2023 Earnings Conference Call is to be released on May 25 after market close! The consensus estimate for revenue is expected at $8.1 billion, indicating a nearly 43.4% YoY growth. The EPS is estimated at $1.29 for Q1 2023.
NVIDIA's revenue has risen sequentially in 11 of its last 12 quarters. The revenue is mainly generated from 5 sectors on Datacenter, Gaming, OEM & IP, Automotive and Visualization. Omniverse, which is NVIDIA 's platform for enabling companies to build their metaverses, launched in 2021 and has been regularly rolling out new features. This platform has the potential to boost Visualization revenue to a large extent.
However, the market fears the strict COVID19-related lockdowns in China which could influence the chips supply chain for NVIDIA. AMD and Intel didn’t report such supply disruptions in Q1 results since they closed quarters within March, before China's widespread lockdowns. Whereas NVIDIA 's quarter which ended on April 30 might have another story.
Therefore, the upcoming earnings result can explain a lot of situations while also creating trading opportunities!
