AlanYeo OP : The market will go through business and economic cycles consistently. For the record, in the past 40 years, we are seeing one crisis in every 2.5 years or so. But good companies will always ride out those cycles. As such, much value has been placed on micro analysis compared to macro analysis. The bottom up approach has always been favored by institutions as a result.
