I suggest that he read "How to turn $100 into $1,000,000: Earn! Save! Invest!" by James McKenna.

This book teaches you how to save money instead of spending it. Simple financial management, setting budgets and goals, and how to start a business. The book also explains how to make wise financial decisions and use financial tools, such as stocks, savings accounts, and CDs.
