PayPal now allows users to transfer cryptocurrency to other wallets or exchanges
In response to customer demand, PayPal today announced that it will allow users to transfer cryptocurrencies from their accounts to other wallets or exchanges, Jose Fernandez da Ponte, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and Digital Currency at PayPal, said:
"Since our platform has offered the ability to purchase cryptocurrencies, this feature has been the most requested by our users. Our users need this feature the most".The new feature will allow PayPal customers to transfer supported coins to PayPal, transfer encryption from their apps to external crypto addresses, including exchanges and hardware wallets, and send encryption to other PayPal users "in seconds".Customers are responsible for paying network fees when making external transfers, which depends on the blockchain and varies by crypto asset. There are no fees for internal transfers
(from PayPal to PayPal). If a user has cryptocurrency elsewhere and wants to integrate it, they can bring it to PayPal from an external address. they can also send cryptocurrency to anyone in the PayPal system", says Fernandez da Ponte.
