The S&P 500 officially enters a bear market: Beat or Run?

A different Wall St this time.

While economists are shaking at the thought of a bear market and recession occurring I think things may play out differently this time.

With COVID came a new group of investors. They are willing to take risks, ignore the analyst & investing in what they love based on the greater good. This group of investors refuses to give up. They continue to buy stock despite the repeated warnings to stop. They continue to hold these stocks for over a year now, patiently waiting for that day to sell. I believe this group of investors could actually make the difference in what occurs.

The great stock market crash of 1929 was driven by FEAR. By ppl spreading fear & ppl reacting to that fear. Had ppl not all decided to sell everything & had a giant case of FOMO the market could have restabilized. It was FEAR which cause all the dominoes to fall. crashing the market, crashing the banks & creating Hooverville.

This new group of investors has seen a lot of fear mongering in the last yr, yet the remain strong. I think this “training” could be the difference in a tolerable bear market (where they entered the market in COVID) and a great crash like in 1929.  ❤️☮️🌶
