while you may find a product you like or enjoy, there is more to the investing process than just buying companies that make goods we like. We have to be able to look past our individual tastes and preferences in order to have an understanding of what the returns might be. For me, this meant going back to the office and performing investment due diligence, focusing on the company’s valuation and financial strength. In short, you have to evaluate the business like you are going to be an owner.
Three main tenets:
1. Only buy what you understand
2. Always do your homework
3. Invest for the long term
