Major shareholders of Tencent have earned 12000 times in 20 years
Yesterday, after the announcement of the reduction of shares held by Naspers, Tencent's largest shareholder, Tencent's share price turned from a rise of more than 4% to a fall, closing down 1.56%.
It is worth noting that as early as 2001, when South Africa NIH, a subsidiary of Naspers, purchased 45.5% of the equity of Tencent, the price was only 32 million US dollars. Since then, the value of the shares held was as high as more than 300 billion US dollars, earning more than 12000 times.
