I bought $Apple (AAPL.US)$ at 175, $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ at 290, $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ at 329, $Alphabet-A (GOOGL.US)$ $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$ at 2900, $Meta Platforms (META.US)$ at 336, $Netflix (NFLX.US)$ at 590. Should I sell them and just buy $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ / $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$ / $Vanguard Total World Stock ETF (VT.US)$ ?
I went heavy into the ARKK and high flier tech stocks that were popular in Jan-Feb 2021. You probably know the names if you browsed reddit in that time some of them were $Shopify (SHOP.US)$ , $Cloudflare (NET.US)$ , $Palantir (PLTR.US)$ , $Block (SQ.US)$ , and $SoFi Technologies (SOFI.US)$ . Lost 60% of my capital on those. And decided to sell all of them on the last trading day of 2021. And buy big tech stocks on the first day of 2022. It turns out that was the top for those stocks.
And now I feel like giving up on individual stocks all together and buying index funds now. My next plan is to sell all my big tech and dump my left over capital into index funds the last week of July. Is that best or should I continue to ride out big tech?
