Tesla's Berlin factory will only produce the Model Y in black and white for now due to capacity constraints
July 13 - At the moment Tesla's new Berlin superfactory can only produce the Model Y electric car in exterior colours black or white, and European customers wanting to order the Model Y in other colours will have to wait until delivery in March next year.
Earlier, Ford had a similar strategy when it planned to start production of the Model T. Henry Ford (Ford) told his team, "Any customer can paint the car any colour he wants, as long as it's black."
