Andrew Sankey : nobody is being forced to sell. you are completely free to continue holding the stock. that mentality that we can " be forced" to sell is exactly why hedgies are fucked. they thought they could force us to sell by dropping the price. utilization has been at 100% since february and yet they continue to find shares out of thin air by the millions each day. they cant close out while we continue to hold. it costs us nothing to hold but it costs them millions to continue this. reverse repo hit up over 2 trillion per day. if we dont sell their only option is to use fake shares to cover failure to delivers or they do swaps with other hedge funds to keep from accumulating to many FTDs.
in short they buried themselves so far into it they dont have anywhere to go except hope we sell which is why we have so many shills in here caring about our money.
media and hedge funds never cared about our money on any of the other market crashes so why now they care so much. now we have angry shills who rely on insults instead of facts and DD. the same tactic that has been used for years. every market crash retail lost money by selling too soon and hedgies made money because retail sold and they bought up the shares. we are simply doing the same thing to them.
