Big tech earnings will be the talk of Wall Street next week, with many companies expected to step into the confessional as the earnings season ramps up.

Hi Mike, the numbers included in the chart are provided by Bloomberg. They are P/E estimates for the full year of 2022, while moomoo provides a P/E ratio for the trailing twelve months(TTM). I hope this explains you well.

:
Here’s why I don’t think it’s appropriate to use forecasted P/E. It depends on 2 components, price and earnings. If earnings are constant the price would have to drop to well under 10 to make that P/E happen. If price is constant, earnings have to increase 4x or more to make that P/E happen. Otherwise you need a combination of a price drop AND a rise in earnings. Is that likely? Earnings spike and price dips? I say no. This is common sense

In addition, I also question the N/A for meta. I understand RBLX and SE because they won’t have earnings and therefore no P/E. This chart implies Facebook won’t have any earnings. I doubt it.

Thanks a lot, Mike. After checking all the digits on Bloomberg again, it seems like there was a mistake on Bloomberg. The number has been fixed, and thank you so much for your help!
