At the business level, New Oriental has identified five transformation directions beyond traditional business since the last quarter, which are non-academic counseling, intelligent learning systems and equipment, study tours and research camps, teaching materials and digital intelligent learning solutions, and preparation for college entrance examination.
These new businesses were generally launched for only a few months, so New Oriental was more cautious and did not disclose more details.
In terms of non disciplinary counseling, New Oriental CEO and CFO Yang Zhihui said that "although the revenue contribution is small, it is growing rapidly." And "although the new business started only a few quarters ago, the new business is progressing very well."
Since April, New Oriental has launched the training business of college entrance examination. New Oriental teachers revealed that a major feature of New Oriental's college entrance examination business is that it is closely connected with the postgraduate entrance examination business. For students, it can "package" to meet their needs for further education from junior college to undergraduate to graduate, and for companies, it can lengthen the user value cycle.
