Hi, this is JP, co-founder of mykayaplus.com & SGX Academy Speaker
Under the new Ask Me Anything #AMA session organized by moomoo, I'll be answering some of your questions this coming Thursday, 11.08.2022
I have no degree in finance, but my passion for investing has led me down a rabbit hole to learn more on investing. Even though I have only 6 years experience, my ability to analyze and present complicated information has earned me recognition to be one of the Academy Trainers of SGX.
So, I look forward to seeing your questions and helping you out. Everyone starts somewhere in the world of investing. I see it as a responsibility to help the mass market understand and invest responsibly.

iceswimmer : Which sectors are you bullish this year? How do you think of the future development of semiconductor industry? Thanks
TAISHO99 : What do you think of S51?
70506457 : Well thank you so much JP
JP_mykayaplus OP iceswimmer : We live in an uncertain world now! So to hedge against uncertainties, best to go to industroes that are certain. Fast moving consumer goods, banks and REITs are certain as we cannot live without them.
The semiconductor is always a cyclical industry. This time around, we see semiconductor stocks at their low versus during 1-2 years ago when they were high.
That said, if you are a long term investor, invest for more than 5 years time horizon, the cyclical nature should not bother you.
You only need to be afraid if you are a short term trader!
JP_mykayaplus OP TAISHO99 : The S51 industry is very capital-heavy. Although there seems to be a slight rebound recently, from a fundamental point of view, higher interest rates will be detrimental to companies in the capital-heavy industry
NANA123 : What can I buy recently? thx
Janice William : What's your speciality when analyzing the market? What key message can you pass on to beginners? Thanks
lailie : Hi JP, could you give me some advice in choosing REIT? What should I look into and how I can learn more about investing in REITs? Thank you.
ezee powe : I sold a put option but I can never get to buy to close. OnceI enter my buy price hit submit the price always changes. What am I missing?
Upncoming1841 : Regarding the DBS DLC, if DBS' stock price were to fall ex dividend, would it be reflected in the DLC's price or would the DLC adjust accordingly and be unaffected by the ex-dividend?
