$Hycroft Mining(HYMC.US$ im new to trading options and bought a 1.00 put on a stock thats more than likely going to expire out of the money, do i just loose the dollar or 100 shares at the going price of the stock.

HereForTheTrades : you only lost the dollar (plus 0.72 transaction cost) on a long (purchased) put.
HereForTheTrades : in general you need lots of time for those types of trades to be profitable (far otm strikes) or you can try scalping one of the indexes, spy is the most traded
