Costco was one of my first investments. They have a very stable business, especially during difficult times when people are trying to get the most for their money. They are reliant on memberships for revenue, but seem to have no trouble signing people up. From my past trips, I also know that every time I go, I spend about 3 to 4 times more than I would at a single visit to a normal grocery store. Somehow they manage to make you feel you are saving money while spending a lot more - that’s pure wizardry. Friends who work there have told me it’s a good place to work, which is important to me as an investor. Their general trajectory is upwards, and they offer a decent dividend. One that I’ll continue to invest in and hold over the long term.
