This is MY understanding: U.S. stock market over the decades has companies listed on established exchanges part of the system of regulation and institutional operations that can offer certain investor protections.
Once a stock is delisted, the company’s shares can keep trading through a process known as “over-the-counter.” You have limited time to sell your shares before they are converted into cash or sold at a predetermined conversion rate by the company. While you can still sell your shares when a company trades over the counter, the bid/ask spreads may be relatively wide, meaning that buyers willing to pay your desired price are scarce.
For reinvestment… big Chinese internet companies like Alibaba, JD.com, and Baidu, for example, which have already carried out dual listings on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
This video was released when alibaba was on the US delist list. Once Alibaba primary listing in Hong Kong successful, then US delist Alibaba will have mini impact to shares holders.

Once Alibaba primary listing in HK successful, the company will convert the delisted US share price according to HK Alibaba share price and you trade according.

The stock will continue to trade as OCT in the US. So the stock won’t be listed on the NYSE, but on the TCEHY. So you don’t need to sell. As Kohson wrote… at some point the shares will convert to the HK

This is also another option for me. Just that I need to cash out and enter on commodities very soon. But I m bullish BABA just revise its FA again just now. I am bullish on BABA than any other tech stocks but I need cash for commodities soon.

Delisting? I do not think $baba will be kicked out unless $baba wants to. Delisting news are just noise created by bears to drive down the price. $baba price will surge once this correction is over. Then all bad news will disappear and good news will roll. Delisting news will disappear

I read the news last night regarding baba voluntarily wants to delist from Nasdaq But I forget to check the date of the news and couldn’t able to locate it anymore. Hope that’s not true.
