Therefore, high-temperature high-pressure method (HTHP) is the mainstream in industrial applications.
In the cultivation of synthetic diamonds, based on current technological conditions, the high-temperature high-pressure method (HTHP) synthesizes cultivated diamonds mainly in a columnar form, with fast growth speed, low cost, slightly lower purity, but has overall advantages, especially in the synthesis of 1-5ct cultivated diamonds.
Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) synthesizes cultivated diamonds in a plate-like form, with difficult color control, long cultivation cycles, higher costs, but high purity, more suitable for synthesizing cultivated diamonds above 5ct.
Therefore, in the field of diamond single crystal synthesis, high-temperature high-pressure method (HTHP) dominates industrial applications; in the field of cultivating synthetic diamonds, they focus on different types of products and do not constitute a substitute relationship.
