FAQ Why can’t I buy or sell S&P500?

$S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ is a stock index that provides information on the performance of a basket of securities so you cannot trade SPX directly.

There are ETFs that track SPX like $SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY.US)$ $iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV.US)$ $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO.US)$ $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF (SPLG.US)$ $SPDR S&P500 US$ (S27.SG)$ and these are tradable on the stock exchange.
Similarly for Nasdaq 100, there are $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ and $Invesco NASDAQ 100 ETF (QQQM.US)$ .
For Dow Jones Industrial Average ETFs, there are $SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average Trust (DIA.US)$ and $SPDR DJIA US$ (D07.SG)$ (the latter is listed in Singapore).
