Yo Mooers,
Welcome back!
On today's topic, we will be discussing on how to use the on-balance volume (OBV) using 3 simple steps.
On today's topic, we will be discussing on how to use the on-balance volume (OBV) using 3 simple steps.
OBV is a leading momentum indicator that helps to confirm price trends. It can be used together with a lagging indicator to double-confirm the price trends.
In order to use the OBV, we simply follow the 3 steps listed below.
Step 1: Find any candlestick in the price chart that interest you.
Step 2: Draw a straight vertical line across the candlestick in the price chart & the OBV indicator chart.
Step 3: Look at the OBV indicator and observe the trend before the vertical line.
That's all.
Anyone need some case studies? Yes? How about let's vote which of the following stocks you would like me to illustrate using the OBV indicator.
$Netflix (NFLX.US)$
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$
$Apple (AAPL.US)$
$Amazon (AMZN.US)$
$Microsoft (MSFT.US)$
I will do a write up for the top two/three voted.
(You may choose more than 1.)
