Heat- burnt the crops in the midwest, North Dakota the main corn producer had a down year, Iowa was hit and miss with the eastern portion doing better than the western but not matching the desired output. The Northwest US had a better than average year for corn, but the entire region only grows a fraction of what Iowa produces. The point is Corn is going to be spendy. Something to note Corn is a (the) major livestock feed, specifically for midwest Hogs (Hormel). Corn is also used as a fuel additive (Ethanol) and as an Antiseptic in medicine and cleaners. Corn is used in many necessary items, so the demand should not abate much.

SpyderCall : this is not going to be good for a junk food prices. all those tiny little snacks used corn as a major input. at least most of them. even the sweet junk food has that corn syrup. even ethanol prices should go up

I do consider CORN on last week but Im kind of stuck in oil n gas. To prevent Me from allocate too much into commodities, I will definitely close some of my oil n gas calls to convert it into “Food” such as corn n wheat. ( by November )
iamiam OP warrior-sailormoon : corn has a long run, as do the commodities, don't think 6 months think 2024 for oil steel food fertilizer, they will run but what they do is nothing compared to what they will do... This poor corn crop is met with poor fertilizer output and record high prices, record seed prices were met with a collapse and now there is worry that next years crop input (plantings) could be 40% less, nat gas isn't getting cheaper (it is but not on a historic level and it's only temporary) so fertilizer is going to be hard to get again and expensive, the "soft landing" and "inflation has peaked" are tricks and history will show this is a lull in another wave.

iamiam OP bwjx : yeah, the markets are in a very dangerous place, QQQ anything around 300 is dangerous because it be sold down at any moment, I would like to see it hold 303.3 to be bullish, but I still wouldn't hold over the weekend. I'm holding TQQQ from yesterday I plan to sell at open, I will use that to buy more CORN and then wait to see what the market does.

iamiam OP icezzz : what is your time frame? are you profitable? I ask because the market is going down again - I cant give you a when, but the market looks like it's running hot, tomorrow could be explosive either way. If I was profitable I would sell and buy back, but again I cant tell how tomorrow will go as I said we are in a dangerous area and bears are waiting to see if bulls stall, when they do the bears pounce the market needs to push past 303 and force them to cover rather than short it again. hope that helps
